the World Trade Center Baltimore (US) will
be held international symposium:
Creating Global Transformation, organized
by the Center for Women and Information
Technology at the University of Maryland,
Baltimore County (UMBC), the World Trade
Center Institute, and the Women in Global
Science and Technology (WIGSAT). Anne-Mari
Rannamäe will take part in the workshop:
Information dissemination and communication. |

QUIN-meeting
in Stockholm. There was discussed
participation of QUIN organizations in future
projects and development of QUIN cooperation.
There were in the meeting from Sweden: Wanja
Bellander, Margareta Jonason and Birgitta
Folcker-Sundell; from Finland: Maila Hakala
and Ilse Vaeneberg; from Estonia: Anne-Mari
Rannamäe and Kristi Saarso. |

International
seminar and fair “Women can”
in Valga, South-Estonia. There were participants
from Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Finland.
QUIN-Estonia was represented by A-M. Rannamäe
and QUIN-Finland by Maila Hakala and Kirsti
Pakkala. There were two patented inventions
from Lithuania among the goods presented at
the fair. Contact with these Lithuanian female
inventors will be taken. |

There
took place in Helsinki “Roses
Day”, organized by Finnish
Women Entrepreneurial Centre.
QUIN members used the case to make a short
meeting how do better use EU funds, Switzerland
funds for Estonian innovative awareness
improvement, etc.

22, 2005 |
QUIN-Finland
delegation, 11 persons, visited EVIKA
Science Centre in Saku. The hostess
was Viive Rosenberg, the first QUIN contact
person in Estonia. There were in Finnish
delegation QUIN-Finland members, journalists
and the representative of the Finnish Innovators
Union. QUIN-Estonia has there 6 members:
Viive Rosenberg, Anne-Mari Rannamäe,
Eha Pajumets, Viivi Jokk, Kärt Summatavet
and Kristi Saarso. We got more acquainted
with problems and joy of inventors in the
field of innovation. |

took place in Pirita TOP SPA a seminar
organized by WIPO, dedicated for
the Global Day of Intellectual Property.
QUIN members Kristi Jalakas, Eha Pajumets
and Anne-Mari Rannamäe participated
on seminar. |

The
6th Annual BFIIN (British Female
Inventor & Innovators Network) exhibition,
conference & award 2005 took place in
the Painted Hall, Greenwich Maritime, London.
The QUIN-Estonian members Virve Poom, Karoli
Hindriks and Viive Rosenberg participated

16-19, 2005 |
In
Romania, Brasov took place the first meeting
of the 3-years project EUI Net
(European University-Industry Network).
This project has 72 partners from 30 countries.
Estonia is represented by Tallinn University
of Technology and NGO QUIN-Estonia. The
main aim is to create network of universities,
industrial partners and public sector. The
main outputs include publishing the 2 books,
1 European workshop and the EUI Net conference,
web databases for graduates, available jobs
in industry, research and innovation. In
Romanian meeting was participated by Anne-Mari
Rannamäe.

where we discussed about the Nordplus Neighbour
networking project, which deadline is the
1st of February. There were: Maila Hakala
